RNase pro_x0002_tection assays were performed to test the influence of the insulators on enhancer activation of the ε-globin gene.Representative assays of RNA from different cHS4 insula_x0002_tor-containing clones are illustrated in Figure 1B, and the results for least 12 individual clones of each type are summar_x0002_ized in Figure 1C. Abundant transcription of the e-globin RNA occurred when the gene was linked to HS2. |
