Notch signaling transactivated a reporter construct harboring a con_x0002_served RBP-J (CBF1) binding site in the hypersensitive site 2 (HS2) of human b-globin. Transactivation by activated Notch was completely abolished when this RBP-J site was mutated to prevent RBP-J binding.
