Next we performed RT-qPCR to measure CFTR expression levels in the ?20.9 kb deletion clones in comparison to WT clones and showed that the minor increase (1.25-fold) was not signiicant.This suggests that the ?20.9 kb site primarily plays a structural role at the locus and in its absence other CTCF sites can at least partially compensate for its function. |
