Esophageal cancer (EC) has two proteomic subtypes S1 and S2, of which S2 is a more malignant phenotype with poorer survival outcome. The proteomic subtype of patients with EC can be accurately predicted by a SVM model with a signature composed of ELOA and SCAF4.
There are two ways to predict the subtype of a EC patient, depending on how the protein expression levels of ELOA and SCAF4 are measured.
