SA-β-gal activity assay//Flow cytometry//Cell morphological analysis |
| Description: |
Radiation treatment resulted in significant levels of SA-β-gal activity in cell lines expressing either wild-type (HN 30) or nondisruptive mutant TP53 (Detroit, R175H). Furthermore, in these cells with SA-beta-gal staining, the morphologic characteristics of cellular senescence were observed, specifically a large, flattened cell with the classic “fried egg” appearance on microscopy. |
