We performed ?-galactosidase assays to test if the prolonged survival in the rapamycin treated fibroblast cultures of the patient (II-2) correlated with decreased senescence. We detected decreased senescence in the control fibroblasts, fibroblasts of the mother I-2 and the affected patient II2 at day 30 when treated with rapamycin. |
