Unlike rapamycin, U0126 completely eliminated cyclin D1. Both rapamycin and U0126 suppressed geroconverssion in p21- and p16-induced senescence, rendering cells that were able to resume proliferation and form colonies after arrest was released. Furthermore, treatment with U0126 alone resulted in senescent morphology. |
