| Description: | In this regard, NUPR1 depletion in A549 or H460 cells caused a marked increase in the number of GLB1 (galactosidase beta 1)-positive cells. Consistent with the induction of GLB1, NUPR1 depletion induced G0/G1 cell cycle arrest, with significant upregulation of the key cell cycle inhibitors CDKN1A/p21Cip1 and CDKN1B/ p27Kip1, but not CDKN2A/p16INK4a. NUPR1 knockdown also inhibited cell growth, as evidenced by BrdU incorporation and colony formation assays. |
