| Description: | The MCF-7 cell line has a spontaneous background of senescent cells usually evident as occasional blue staining cells.Following several weeks of growth, 35% to 40% of colonies ectopically expressing FBXO31 showed senescence compared with 5% to 7% of senescent colonies with vector alone. In subsequent experiments, MCF-7 cells ectopically expressing an EGFP-tagged FBXO31 showed that the presence of cell senescence was correlated to the expression of FBXO31. |
