| Description: | TGF-β1 increased the percentage of SA-β-gal staining cells and concomitantly induced the expression of p21/waf-1, as assessed by RT-PCR and Western blotting . Cell cycle analysis also showed an increase of senescent cells, as reflected by an accumulation of cells in the G0/G1phase . Furthermore, the accumulation of cells in the G0/G1phase was slightly increased after an additional 48-h incubation without TGF-β, suggesting irreversible cell cycle arrest after TGF-β treatment. |
