| Description: | In euthyroid morbidly obese subjects,both SAT and VAT TSHB gene expression was negatively associated with markers of AT senescence (TNF , TP53, BAX and DBC1). Confirming these findings, SAT TSHB mRNA was positively linked to telomere length in a subgroup of consecutive subjects , suggesting decreased senescence with less exposure to thyroid hormones. Furthermore, SAT TSHB mRNA was negatively correlated to specific senescence-associated glucosylceramides. |
